Cinema Rome

In Italy, movies tend to be dubbed into Italian rather than subtitled. However, there is a trend that cinemas screen films in the original language.   You can find out which cinemas are showing movies in the original language through the local newspapers and local television text. Look for VO , this stands for 'versione originale' (original version). Make sure that the original language is English and not Russian or other language!

VO movies

Most cinemas show ´VO´ movies at the beginning of the week, or they have one or two films in original language with Italian subtitles all week. Cinemas that regularly screen films in the original language include the Pasquino Nuovo, Olimpia Cineclub Detour and Grauco Film Club.
